Building a Diverse and Agile IT Workforce
About ActivateIT
We’re a nonprofit organization specializing in recruiting, IT training, and coaching that focuses on professional and interpersonal development to enable our students to succeed in IT careers and achieve economic freedom.
ActivateIT was founded in 2019 as a collaboration between Activate Workforce Solutions and Per Scholas, a national IT training organization, to meet IT talent shortages in Denver and improve economic mobility.

ABOUT ACTIVATE WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS
Activate Workforce Solutions (AWS) is a Public Benefit Corporation that was founded by Helen Young Hayes. AWS creates pathways to economic mobility by recruiting motivated individuals to living-wage career-path employment and by supporting them post-placement with intensive professional and life skills training for career stability and success.
ABOUT OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH PER SCHOLAS
Since 2016, Activate Workforce Solutions has served as a bridge connecting overlooked talent with high-quality careers in financial services, business services, healthcare and the skilled trades, transforming lives and communities. Activate has partnered with Per Scholas to bring their proven and nationally replicated IT training and career development model to Denver. Across eleven cities, Per Scholas has trained more than 10,000 unemployed and underemployed individuals for careers in technology. The partnership with Per Scholas enables Activate to expand into a new industry vertical and increase the impact and scale of our services.
By working with Per Scholas to provide world-class IT training, ActivateIT is leveraging over $109MM in philanthropic investment in their program. Per Scholas is working with us side by side to ensure ActivateIT is wildly successful. By 2023, Per Scholas plans to grow and serve 4,000 new technology career students per year. Because of our innovative partnership, ActivateIT will play a role in helping achieve this goal in Denver.

Committed, Passionate Team Members
“At TEKsystems, we deliver full-stack technology services, including talent services, to our clients across the country. That talent includes more than 400 Per Scholas graduates, and we’ve found them to be committed, talented and passionate team members—so much so that we funded a Per Scholas partnership for a national expansion in multiple cities around the U.S. We look forward to growing our partnership in all the communities where we live and work.”
